"Ever since being a young boy, I have been fortunate to have a relationship with all of my grandparents. I am so blessed that two of my grandparents are like my spiritual parents. I did not always play the saxophone: I started singing in the church. As I advanced, I transferred my passionate musicianship to the saxophone. I play as if I'm still holding a mic. I have always had a timeless song: "Walk With Me Lord." I can recall the old days being with my grandmother, and she would always seem to sing a line or two of that song. Of course, I did not understand the meaning back then; however, my understanding has advanced as I've gotten stronger in years."
